After a winter hike, the pool and sauna were just what we needed, and we went every day. There are lovely hiking routes around Zschorlau, nearby and farther out too. We were a group of 13 and stayed a couple of days. The rooms were clean and had everything well arranged, with a TV and Wi-Fi in each. Breakfast was generous, and they made fried eggs fresh, cooked on both sides as we asked. The owners were warm and attentive to how their guests were doing.

The pool schedule was awkward, since its opening hours often clashed with breakfast and dinner. We had to pick between a swim and a relaxed meal, which was disappointing. Our few days here were still pleasant, and the staff were friendly. The rooms were clean and tidy, though somewhat dated, and the price felt fair enough. Breakfast was basic but sufficient. Dinner tasted fine, but the hot options were limited. We would have liked more than the pork steak "Gypsy style," Caprese salad, or cheese platter on offer. Drinks also seemed pricey: a small tea and small wine together came to €9. It was a restful stay, and a good fit if you’re after a quiet few days without high expectations.

After 8 pm, the restaurant and all the lounges were shut, so staying in our room was the only option. That was a shame. Breakfast was great and dinner was good. A
