We spent a week here and everything was great, apart from the agency refusing to provide larger sheets for the beds. The sheets we got were standard single-bed size, too small for the queen-size mattresses. The agency that rented out the house the year before, under a different owner, had supplied sheets to fit the different bed sizes, so this doesn’t seem to be a Danish peculiarity. Maybe enough renters complaining will get the new agency to change its strange policy. This isn’t a public attraction you can just drop by. The place is rented through AirBnB or an agency. It has 16+ bedrooms and a large professional kitchen. Recently renovated, it pairs a very old, historic building with somewhat modern furniture. Most rooms have queen-size beds, though only two or three have larger ones.

The family who own this very unusual place were so nice. Our room had very sloping floors, which made it feel a bit like Alice in Wonderland, but the stay was wonderfully charming. The gardens are great, and the place itself is lovely. We’ll definitely be back. I wish it were open all year round.

We rented this huge property for almost a week for our wedding, with 42 people there including us. It worked perfectly for the occasion, and all the rooms are stunning.

There are lots of bathrooms, and the setting is beautiful. The place has a nice old castle feel if that’s what you’re after. The kitchen could use an industrial dishwasher.
