Ibis Styles Copenhagen Orestad

The staff were lovely and helpful, and having free tea and coffee in the lobby at any time was a nice start to each day. We stayed a few days and found the transport very convenient: Bella Park metro station is directly opposite, and Ørestad stations are about a 10-minute walk away, with easy trips to the city centre and airport. You can hear the metro at night, though it didn't bother me and the convenience was worth it. One small annoyance: late checkout could only be requested that morning, so asking in advance wasn't possible. That's no criticism of the staff, who couldn't have been nicer. I'd absolutely recommend it.

The metro is a minute away, and you can ride straight to the city centre without changing lines. The hotel is outside the centre, so it works well if you'd rather stay a bit farther out. My room was clean, practical, and nicely designed, and the staff were friendly and ready to help. A small fridge in the room would have been useful.

Service is where this no-frills hotel makes up for its sparse amenities. Everyone was helpful, and Alberte kindly found us an extension cord when we needed one. The room had just one outlet on one side of the bed, little storage, and only four hangers for two people. We chose it for the parking and good metro connection outside the city centre. If you need a quiet night, ask for a room away from the metro side. We had to leave the window slightly open and could hear the metro all night, even on the seventh floor.

I was disappointed that the hotel charged us for the first night of our two-night booking after I accidentally chose the wrong dates. I contacted them as soon as I noticed and asked to move the reservation a month later, not cancel it. We really did want to stay, and since it wasn't peak season, I hoped they might be flexible. I understand that policies matter, but I didn't expect a large hotel chain to be unable to accommodate a date change.
