Imperial Hotel

I emailed the hotel to say my brother and his fiancée were staying for their engagement, and they kindly sent a complimentary bottle of champagne up to their room. The staff were friendly and helpful. I dealt with Emilee.

I won't recommend this hotel or return. The atmosphere felt tense and unwelcoming, and the staff seemed more concerned with their own interests than working together for guests. What stood out was the lack of leadership and accountability: the bar was staffed by very young, inexperienced employees, and sometimes it felt like nobody was in charge. Staff didn't seem willing or comfortable communicating with guests, and rather than handle situations through ordinary conversation or basic hospitality, they called the police without what seemed to me a reasonable or proportionate cause. There was no apparent interest or authority to resolve things calmly and professionally.

The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, and we especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet, with its great variety, and dinner at the hotel's Italian restaurant. Renting bikes was another highlight, and we also used the fitness center. My husband and I had a fantastic stay at the Imperial Hotel. Our balcony room had beautiful views and extra outdoor space, while having two bathrooms made getting ready in the morning much easier. The location was hard to beat, a short walk from Copenhagen Central Station and right beside Tivoli Gardens. We'd absolutely recommend it and hope to return.

Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were lovely. The location is very central, next to Tivoli gardens and metro and rail stations, with plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby. There's a Seven 11 store opposite. It was expensive, though maybe those are just normal Copenhagen prices in December.
