Rye 115 Hotel

We were two couples sharing the family room, and it was lovely. Having more than one shower made getting ready as a group much easier, and the toilets were sparkling clean. After check-out, we hung out in the lobby with hot black coffee and crisp, buttery-soft croissants. Excellent stay!

After three nights here on my own, I left thinking this little place is a hidden gem. I only found it because it popped up on Booking.com. Don’t expect all the extras of a traditional hotel, but that’s part of its charm. It feels more like a cozy B&B, with its own character. The rates are affordable for Copenhagen, and the stylish, warm rooms made coming back after a busy day of sightseeing feel like coming home. The lobby has a quiet, dimly lit atmosphere, not the usual hotel feel. Bathrooms are shared, but I never had to wait, even when the place was full. I think there are about three rooms per bathroom, and they were kept clean and well maintained. The neighborhood felt lovely and safe, and the nearest Metro is just a few minutes away. The staff were friendly and personable. I got to meet Christian and one of the owners, Mette. When I lost a necklace in a bathroom, they personally made every effort to find it. Breakfast can be preordered. It’s a tasty little Danish spread with pastries, fruit, chia seed pudding, granola, juice, and my favorite, the Danish morning bun. There’s no kettle in the room, but complimentary coffee and tea are available in the dining area. You can also buy soft drinks, beer, wine, and snacks from the minibar. The walls are on the thin side, so you may hear people in the hallway. My room was near the kitchen, and I often heard some commotion from people coming down for breakfast or checking in. It didn’t really take away from my stay. I wish them every success, would recommend the place, and would stay again.

This is a lovely little family-run hotel. We were traveling with our dog, and while plenty of hotels tolerate pets without really welcoming them, Christian and his team made all three of us feel valued. They even provided a few things for our dog. The old building means earplugs are a good idea, but the rooms are nicely furnished. Sharing the bathrooms wasn’t an issue: staff kept them clean, and there were enough available. Thanks for making our Copenhagen stay so much better. We definitely want to come back.

We spent four nights at Rye115 and were really happy with our choice. The decor is beautiful and cozy, and the staff were kind, helpful, and made us feel welcome. The shared bathrooms were consistently clean, with enough of them that we never had to wait. The location is great too, close to the metro, good shops, and restaurants. We’d definitely stay here again if we return to Copenhagen.
