Scandic Front

The room was clean and spacious, with no complaints there. The location is the main benefit, but I was very disappointed by the customer service. Early check in costs 35 euros, bag storage isn’t complimentary, and the basement lockers cost extra, which can add up. Umbrellas also aren’t complimentary and you pay each time you use one, unlike hotels that may charge only if it isn’t returned. I think breakfast was 15 euros per person if added at check in, otherwise it becomes 20-25 euros, I think. I’m glad I’ve stayed at other Scandic hotels and had better experiences. Otherwise I would have blacklisted Scandic hotels from the chains I stay at. Honestly, you could pay a little more and stay at the hotels next door, where these basic things are free, like they should be.

The staff were really helpful, and the rooms were clean and neat, with excellent beds and a wonderful shower. Breakfast was great too, as was the location. We’d love to return.

A quiet base, with short walks to the parts of Copenhagen I care about. I used to live here, so the location really worked for me. Breakfast was good, as I expect from Scandic, though I wasn’t keen on the new scrambled egg setup. The staff were helpful, and the rooms were fine for the price, if a little worn, small, and too dark.

Breakfast was pretty good, apart from the truly awful coffee. The location is convenient, though Copenhagen is small, so plenty of hotels are close to things. The rooms are very bare, with no fridge or towel for drying your feet after a shower. They could use a deep clean and an upgrade. It’s a very basic hotel.
