The Darling

We had to rearrange our stay after our flight was canceled, and Martim was really attentive and helpful with the rebooking. Martin also sent dining suggestions and even met me outside when I arrived. We stayed in the Cosy. The kitchen was lovely and stocked with tea, coffee, and the supplies we needed, and the living area was spacious and bright. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was small but thoughtfully laid out and had what we needed, including welcome towel heaters. We had a kind, warm welcome and loved this well-designed apartment in the heart of Copenhagen.

The Grand was presented beautifully, with great artwork and a B&O sound system. The kitchen was well equipped, and there was milk and oat milk in the fridge, along with jam, honey, crackers, a bottle of wine, and a matcha-making kit. The mall is right outside, which is handy. A few things to keep in mind: there are 38 steps to the room and no lift. The church bell rings at 8am, and late partygoers can be noisy, so it may bother light sleepers. The raised threshold between rooms annoyed me. Although the apartment is very generous in size, only 2 people are allowed.

The Darling is my favourite place to stay in CPH. I’ve been back several times since it opened, and the location is perfect. Everything looks beautiful and is practical to use, and the staff are attentive without intruding.
