The Square

The Square made the first part of our honeymoon special. My husband and I loved how central it was, close to the metro and an easy walk from shops, places to eat, and Tivoli gardens. The staff were kind, helpful, and accommodating throughout. Our room was spacious and had a gorgeous view of the city center. We bought the Tivoli all-inclusive package through the hotel, and it was a highlight. With entry, rides, and dinner covered, our evening in the park felt stress-free. We also used the 10% discount at Little Tivoli! Breakfast kept us going, sometimes through lunch. There was lots of variety, including delicious pastries, refreshing rhubarb juice, excellent ginger shots, fruit, vegetables, and meats. I especially appreciated the dairy-free butter. The only small issue was the temperature at night. The air conditioning didn’t cool the room quite enough, and with the busy streets and bars outside, leaving the window open wasn’t an option because of the noise. I’m sure The Square would have tried to help if I’d raised it. Apart from that, we found the stay relaxing and comfortable, and would recommend The Square as a base for exploring Copenhagen. We booked the room with the Tivoli all-inclusive package, and it was definitely worth it. Parking was easy too. We used Q-Park (Dagmar Hus), just opposite the hotel, though there are several nearby options. The location is super convenient, right across from the main walking street. The hotel has just been renovated and feels fresh and modern. Our room was clean and nice, if a little small for the price, which seems normal for Copenhagen. Breakfast had lots of choice, and we loved the Christmas pancakes, æbleskiver, while we were there in December. The staff were friendly, and check-in was quick and smooth.

The hotel is comfortable and very well located. I was here for a conference recently and had a good stay. Staff were welcoming, and breakfast was absolutely delicious. The shared areas, including the lobby, restaurant, and bar, felt fresh and contemporary, though my standard room looked a little tired and dated. The online check-in was the one snag. You get a digital key and can go straight to the room, but unless you also tell the front desk you’ve arrived, the system may count you as a no-show. Staff said it had happened to a few guests and sorted it out without trouble. I’d stay again, but would book a renovated room next time.

I’ve stayed here twice on work trips. It’s a good hotel in central Copenhagen, with a very convenient location, clean rooms, and great service. Sometimes there’s a bit of noise from outside.
