Billund Holiday - Assengaard B & B

Everything felt clean and cozy, with comfortable rooms and modern, stylish bathrooms. It’s a peaceful place out in nature. The host was kind and courteous, and made time for a good chat while checking whether everything was all right or we needed anything. I’d gladly stay again and can fully recommend it.

The surrounding nature is breathtaking, and the rooms were super clean. I loved the heated bathroom floors, too. The owners were so pleasant that the whole stay felt like visiting friends. One tip: bring or rent a car. Getting around without one is difficult, and renting was much cheaper than taking taxis. Without help from Danish-speaking locals, we might not have managed to book a taxi, since the recorded phone system automatically switched to Danish.

The food was delicious and home-cooked, especially the traditional dishes that gave me a taste of the local culture. I also found the hosts wonderfully warm and hospitable. They made sure I had what I needed and were always around for questions or suggestions on things to do. Assengaard B & B is set in a beautiful spot surrounded by greenery and lovely views. The house was immaculate and well looked after, with everything needed for a comfortable stay. I felt welcome and at home from the moment I arrived. It was a peaceful, authentic experience, and I’d gladly come back.

It feels remote, yet the airport is only a 10-minute drive away. The setting is private and lovely, with a clean room, a good bed and shower, and a very nice breakfast. The host was lovely, too. They bake their own bread and serve eggs from their chickens. A wonderful, peaceful B&B with very reasonable prices.
