This is a lovely place for families, close to nature. There’s horse riding, a huge trampoline, a chicken farm, soft grass and a pond, and they have barbecues every day. It all went beyond what I expected. My kid especially loved it and wants to come back.

We planned just a few nights at Stutteri Skandihest Appartements in Billund, but could have stayed the whole summer. Lars and his wife Anika run this bed and breakfast in a traditional white Danish former farm. The grounds are remarkably quiet, with a huge garden, fresh vegetables each day from the greenhouse and eggs from the farm. There’s a large trampoline, a Jeux de Boules court, Danish mini golf, a big playhouse and tents for children, and the ponies are free to ride. Wi-Fi is free too. Parking is spacious, and EV charging is free using the red Schuko socket, 3x230 volts at 16A. It charges very fast, so bring your home charging cable. Legoland, Legohouse, the Viking Museum and Billund Lego Airport are all about a 10-minute drive away. In the evening, guests are invited to the open fire, where drinks and snacks are free. Guests come from many countries and the atmosphere is friendly. The rooms could be improved, though there's room to do that. We had an open kitchen, three separate single bedrooms and one large double bedroom, with a microwave, electric oven and fridge. The buildings form a U around a patio. Art and antiques decorate the whitewashed rooms, and the thick walls make them quiet. If rest and romance are what you're after, this is the place. For EV charging, Tesla will supply and install a home charger for free if you call them. Setting 2 works with all EV brands, though the red Schuko charger is already great. Jella Viking village is one place to visit. Velje is about 30 km from Billund, with a nice long shopping street near the harbour and rows of designer stores. The Georg Jensen Damask flagship store is nice. COOP supermarket is okay. On the same street there are other supermarkets: ABC is large and cheaper, but its selection isn't as good; Remo is small. Billund center now has a fast Tesla V4 Supercharger. Aquadome Billund is a big indoor fun park for families and children, with more than just water activities: bowling, mini golf, shops, restaurants, a Lalandia supermarket and Monkey Town. Legohouse is really nice to visit, and you could easily spend a whole day there.

The owners are so kind, and the place is beautiful. It’s surrounded by lots of meadows, has activities for children, and the bonfire is really nice.

Such a cosy, family feeling here, with lovely people and beautiful nature. The apartment was small, but we wanted to be outside anyway. The covered fireplace is a nice gathering spot where everyone can sit and chat. Kids can ride horses, pet the dog and cat, and see the chickens. Whether you're on your own or with family, this place feels worth the money. I’d happily pay much more, and you won’t regret renting it!
