We had everything we needed in the room, and I loved the big windows that open and the view. The front desk was warm and welcoming. The hotel was a quick walk from the train station, with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby, as well as Hamlets castle. It was comfortable, except for all the noise from the hallway and neighbors through much of the night.

We were in town for a long weekend for our wedding ceremony, and this was a perfect choice. It’s right in the old town, beside the pedestrian streets, with shops and restaurants about 5-10 minutes away. The ferry to Sweden is also just five minutes away. Paid parking is close by, and free parking is 1 km away. The apartment unit is very spacious, with a fully stocked kitchen and living area. Our room was nicely decorated, the breakfast was delicious with warm dishes and fantastic bread, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They even checked that we’d arrive on time.

From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and were exceptionally friendly and attentive. Breakfast was delicious, with quality ingredients in a lovely setting. Hotel Hamlet is cozy and full of character, with historic charm alongside modern comfort. The furnishings and lighting create a warm, stylish, authentically Danish hygge feel. It sits right in central Helsingør, a short walk from Kronborg Castle and the harbor. It’s a treasure for anyone wanting to experience the charm and soul of the historic town. This felt like part of the visit, not just somewhere to sleep. Highly recommended if you value atmosphere, history, and heartfelt hospitality!

The staff were polite and helpful with everything we asked for. Our room was clean and pleasant, and breakfast was superb. The coffee was a little weak, but they even had a gluten-free breakfast option. A nice hotel in the center of Helsingör.

The photos online don’t really do the place justice. The reception is lovely and welcoming, and the restaurant where breakfast is served feels cozy and inviting. We returned in the evening for drinks and found a great atmosphere and fantastic staff. The rooms are a bit small, but they were completely fine for us. The beds were comfortable, the water pressure was fantastic, and we had a hairdryer and a closet for hanging clothes. We didn’t feel we were missing anything and enjoyed having a place to retreat to. The hotel exceeded the whole wedding party’s expectations, especially since some of the reviews are so negative. Thank you, Hotel Hamlet! I know we’ll be back to celebrate our fifth anniversary with you. We got married in Helsingør and had struggled to find a place for 13 people on the first weekend of November, since November 1st is apparently a big celebration and party in Denmark. Friday night, November 1st, was indeed very noisy. But it seems fair to say that any room facing the road in town would be noisy then. If noise bothers you, ask for a room facing the small garden. Some of our group stayed in those rooms and weren’t bothered by it. On Saturday and Sunday, we didn’t hear a thing and slept well. My brother brought his three-month-old baby, and the staff were lovely with them too. Having an elevator was a real plus and made things easier. Some family members stayed in the apartment, which was great, with more space, a fridge, a small kitchen, and a sitting area.
