The homemade breakfast options were lovely, and the room was just as nice. The place is scenic, and you can tell the kind hosts put a lot of love into looking after it. We only stayed one night, but had a really nice time. The dogs were cute and playful too. ❤️

We loved the short walk through the woods to Lillebælt, where we caught beautiful sunsets and even saw whales. The owners were friendly, and so were their dogs and cat. Our clean room had a small terrace with a table and two chairs overlooking the lovely gardens. The bathroom was spotless, with a window and a big shower, and there’s a shared kitchen with a fridge and the option to heat or cook your own food. Free coffee and plenty of parking, too. It’s a lovely little B&B on the edge of Middelfart, well placed for exploring Fyn and Midjylland. We’ll definitely come back.

The bed was so comfortable, especially the pillow and duvet, better than at nearly every place I’ve stayed, including 3- and 4-star hotels. The room itself was simple, fresh, and clean. Just bring your own shampoo and shower gel, as those weren’t provided. We only stayed one night, arriving late and leaving early, and booked just the day before. The owners were happy to fit us in. They’re very friendly without being pushy, and their two border collies are playful and sweet. We skipped breakfast to get on the road, but there’s a coffee machine in the common area, along with drinks and homemade honey for sale. It’s right by the highway but quiet. We couldn’t find any restaurants nearby, though Strib Pizzeria and Grill is a friendly spot about a five-minute drive away, open until 9PM on weekdays and 9.30PM on weekends. Netto is four minutes away and open until 10PM. Would happily visit again.

We liked it enough to book another night at By the Bridge Bed & Breakfast on our way back home. The room and surroundings were lovely, and the friendly, well-behaved animals were great company. The sea view is about a 10-minute walk away. On the way to Sweden, we realized around 22:00 in Denmark that we’d badly misjudged the trip. Rather than find somewhere unfamiliar to camp in the middle of the night, we booked a room at the last minute. There was space for all three of us, and our hostess welcomed us warmly despite the late hour. It was clean, comfortable, and a good price, just what we needed to rest before setting off the next morning. Thanks again for the hospitality, from the three wildcampers with the blue cube and Harley :D

The breakfast was a treat, even though we got a late start. The owners made a meal just for us, with fresh pastries, homemade juice, jams, and honey. We could wander through the garden to see where the jams came from, and watch the bees. Their kindness and warmth made us feel welcome from the start, and we loved chatting with them. I’d arranged a surprise proposal for my girlfriend, and the owner helped make it special. We walked into the orangery, glowing with candlelight, to find strawberries and chilled champagne waiting. It was a magical setting for the moment. Our room was modern, elegant, and spotless, with thoughtful details throughout. The buildings, especially the picturesque orangery, have a lovely feel, and the outdoor spaces were beautiful places to sit with coffee. Even in the rain, the peaceful atmosphere made it easy to enjoy the natural surroundings. We also met their adorable border collie and said hello to the friendly chickens. There’s a lovely mix of history, Danish hygge, and modern comforts here. My fiancée and I can’t wait to return. We’re grateful to the owners for giving us a memory we’ll carry with us for life.
