Kragsbjerggaard Vandrerhjem

The breakfast was disgusting. I found hair and pieces of plastic in the food. The owner was extremely rude, and they even tried to scam us by charging extra for bed sheets. Wi-Fi wasn't free either, which is ridiculous. The beds were awful. I barely slept and woke with back and knee pain. The rooms were filthy and clearly hadn't been cleaned properly. Absolutely terrible experience at Kragsberg Hostel. Avoid this place at all costs.

The Bunker Museum is next door, which is a plus, and parking is easy. I think it could work well if you have dogs or young kids. Staff are friendly and breakfast is good, but most other things are very basic. The hostel is about a 25-minute walk or more from a cafe, and there are no bars nearby. There's no friendly lounge like you get in UK hostels. The bathrooms are quite grim and the showers are poor. Beds are fairly standard for a hostel. In the games room, everything is broken apart from the table tennis. Very mixed.

It's a bit expensive for what you get. The breakfast is ok, but not worth 120kr, and I really don't like the extra charge for sheets. The walls are thin, so mornings get loud. The blinds don't block enough light either, which means you won't sleep past 7:30. Also, why is there only one ungrounded socket in the whole room?

The room was clean and nice, and the staff were very friendly. The hostel itself is quite ok overall, BUT having to pay separately for linens is a joke. Just include them in the price instead of tricking guests. I've stayed in many hostels and hadn't thought to check for a linen charge before booking. Now I know.
