We enjoyed the views from the sea-facing outdoor pool and the wellness area. The setting is very picturesque, right off the Swedish coastline, and the staff were friendly. Our room was clean, though a little small, and breakfast could have offered more variety. Still, a great place overall.

The biggest letdown was the noise. We'd come all the way from a large Belgian city for quiet and undisturbed nature, but during our first two days the resort pressure washed the house walls right across from us. They started before 8 AM and kept going for hours, at least half a day each time. It gave us headaches and made the holiday noisier than an ordinary workday in a big city. Thankfully it stopped after two days, apparently because the weekend was coming. We felt it was inconsiderate and disrespectful, especially in high season. When we raised it at reception, the helpful staff member agreed the timing was bad but said the boss had decided to do the work then. We didn't appreciate that response. Even so, I'd give the resort four stars. The work was temporary, not a standard part of the place, and I hope management takes the feedback on board and schedules that kind of work more wisely. Without it, I might have given the resort six stars. The rest of our visit was very good. The houses are spacious, about 70 square meters, and the five of us never felt cramped. We hardly saw other guests, even though we visited in high season at the beginning of August. There are lots of included activities, such as the pool, mini golf, outdoor and indoor badminton, and table tennis. The surrounding nature is beautiful, with paths towards the sea that are good for walking and gentle on the environment. Staff were friendly, and the price was very affordable: we paid EUR 208 per night for the whole house. Another holiday park we tried in southwest Denmark this summer was crowded and much smaller, yet cost EUR 450 per night. Skagen, a very nice small town, is nearby. A couple of practical things: we couldn't get the sauna in the sports hall to work. The zip line doesn't seem safe at the moment because it ends too abruptly at the tire on the downward slope. My husband tried it and fell off when it stopped suddenly. We arrived after reception had closed, but easily found the envelope with our name, instructions, and key cards, so check-in was smooth even without staff there. We hadn't received the promised text or email ahead of time, though another guest had already mentioned that same problem in a review from years ago. Apparently it hasn't been fixed.

We really enjoyed staying in one of the houses, and especially appreciated how kind the cook who handled food orders was. One small practical snag: the hot water boiler may be overworked. The first shower was fine, but the second ended in cold water. Luckily there were only two of us! 😀

The restaurant got our order wrong and left us waiting for more than an hour. They didn't try to help, and instead said we should have reminded them ourselves.

There are lots of facilities here and nearby, including a train station with an easy route to Skagen. You can order Danish pastries and warm fresh bread for the next morning, and the shop has a good selection of breakfast items. On site there's a pool, crazy golf, and a tennis court, with wildlife around too, including deer and huge hares. Even with plenty of people around, the place feels private and spacious, with easy access to the beach.
