Rønhave

We booked the glamping package for a weekend at Rønhave Bed & Breakfast and had a lovely time. The team did a lot to make the stay pleasant, and the facilities were excellent. Breakfast deserves a mention too, we ate it on the little veranda in front of the tent. We’ll definitely come back.

A peaceful place with a special atmosphere, and really lovely staff.

The place captures the Danish hygge we were looking for. It’s quiet, the scenery is beautiful, and the rooms have been furnished with amazing care. Breakfast was a delicious spread, with a big pot of coffee and freshly pressed apple juice. There’s also a boutique and butcher on site, both worth a look. Sønderborg is just 10 minutes away. The owner is an inspiring woman who loves history and the finer things in life. We didn’t want to leave and are already figuring out when we can return.

This lovely old Danish manor farm is listed as a B&B on maps. A majestic old tree stands in the enclosed courtyard, around which are the Buttiken, selling original, quality Danish clothes, deli items, wooden goods, jewellery, wine, and more, as well as a butcher’s shop. The friendly shop assistant told us glamping is available in high season. It’s worth a special visit, or a stop on the way to Sønderborg airport, to enjoy the old trees, the romantic bridge over the stream, and fields stretching down to the fiord.
