Cooking there was a nightmare, with a clogged sink, leaks in both the bathroom and kitchen, and unusable pans and microwave. The washing machine was broken, everything was rusty, and the electrical situation was alarming. The apartment was squalid and the building seemed abandoned. Really, every part of the place felt frightening. You can judge the photos for yourselves.

The owner was kind and pleasant, but the residence was poorly maintained. There were several leaks and the air conditioning didn't work. I wouldn't recommend it.

The apartment is spacious, and mosquito nets cover all the windows. That's about where the positives stop. The beds were uncomfortable, and getting hot water to work felt like it needed a PhD. If someone showered, water came out of the kitchen tap. The appliances are outdated, the kitchen is nearly unusable, and you're advised to wash everything before using it. The air conditioning only works like a fan, even set to 16°C, and the whole building feels abandoned. The owner said the last cyclone caused a lot of damage, but that doesn't excuse the condition inside. It needs major investment to modernize and bring everything up to code. There is potential here, but the stay was nowhere near the dream promised, and it should be closed for health reasons while renovations are done. That could take several years. Good luck to anyone staying before then. The location is the best part: the river runs just outside the windows, and Infinity Restaurant is next door, with a very friendly owner. The airplane wreckage in the parking lot sets the scene as soon as you arrive.

Peaches is adorable, and the price is very good. The apartment is lovely, functional, and comfortable, with a spacious balcony. It's also very large, though a little outdated.
