We left a few days early after our complaints went nowhere. Rosa wouldn't listen or refund anything, and we felt she was scamming us. The room was in terrible shape, unbearably hot at night, and there were cockroaches in the fridge. They also charged us extra for electricity on arrival, saying it was refundable, but it wasn't. The location listing is a scam. DO NOT BOOK. To management: don't claim this review is illegitimate, as you do with every critical review. You are running a scam.

We ended up having more fun here than at any of the resorts we'd stayed at before. The beach location has plenty to do and lots of shopping, and it felt like a hidden gem. Excursions were reasonably priced, and sellers left us alone when we said we weren't interested. Our vacation rental fell through at the last minute, but Rosa saved the trip by renting us the Penthouse and making sure we had what we needed. The complimentary breakfast was delicious every day, and we got wings every day too. They did not miss. We had such a good time and will definitely be back soon. Rosa is an angel. The grounds were nice, and being in a local area instead of a secluded all-inclusive was cool, though tour guides had trouble finding the place. The airport shuttle was good and reasonably priced, and there's a spa/massage place. Rooms aren't soundproof, and someone played loud music until 10 PM one night. The rooms and pool area need serious renovation, our fridge was rusty, and there's only one restaurant next to the hotel. We had to request room cleaning. Breakfast was mediocre at Villa Blanca, a few minutes' walk down the beach. Online it said breakfast was at 6, but it's at 8, and there's no restaurant on the property. The room itself wasn't bad, but it wasn't what we'd booked. We were meant to get an upstairs ocean-view room with one bed and a sleeper sofa, beach towels, a mini bar, daily coffee and water, and breakfast, but got none of those things besides the bed. We later heard another couple had also been given the wrong room. They seem to have trouble with third-party reservations. Señora Rosa couldn't find ours at first, then said check-in wasn't until 3. When we returned, she'd finished her shift and a man took over. He didn't give me the WiFi password, and when I asked, he acted like I should just guess it and said, "it's very easy." Someone else was asking him for the password at the same time. He also insisted we didn't have breakfast included until I made him check. He'd apparently only looked at our dates, not the booking details. I don't know if he was new or just lazy.

The staff were nice and the service was decent, and the pool was in good shape. Breakfast was fine, too. But the room was dirty and low quality. The beds were okay, while everything else looked poorly used: the fridge had scratches and dents, the ceiling fan was loud, and there were bugs on the floor. There were security guards around the property. I wouldn't recommend staying here. Sorry to the employees, but my experience was horrible.
