Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana by UVC, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

The service was the best part of our stay at Secrets Punta Cana. Everyone was welcoming, from check-in right through departure. My wife and I wanted a relaxing trip, so we stayed at the resort instead of going on excursions. We spent time by the pool, enjoyed the meals, and went to the shows. We made a point of sitting in the same section at Showtime Bar each night so we could see Maria. She looked after everything and was happy to adjust my fussy drink order. We’re learning Spanish, and she was patient while we practiced, taught us new words and phrases, and shared things about the culture, which matters a lot to us. She really made the trip better. I don’t usually write reviews, but I wanted to share how lovely the experience was. It was our first time in Dominican Republic, and I’d been nervous after hearing from a lot of people who didn’t enjoy their resorts. The food had a great range of options, and there were shows and events throughout the day.

The people working here made a big difference to our trip. Alberto, our butler, was brilliant and always ready to help. Marlon came to find us at breakfast each morning, along with the singing hostess. Sebastian at the bar and Fanny at the Preferred Club pool were fantastic too. The property and location are really nice, about 25 minutes from the airport, and it borders Dreams next door. We liked the food and restaurants, and enjoyed the spa as well. A great vacation.

We really enjoyed the nighttime shows, which start at 9 every evening, and the spa was my favorite day. We didn’t try any excursions on our first trip, but there seemed to be lots of options and we’d look into them next time. The main drawback was finding food during the day. The buffet isn’t open all day, and without Preferred there are limited choices. The beach grill is open until 6 p.m., but mostly has hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos, and a few other quick bites. Only a couple of lunch restaurants are available to Preferred members. Room service runs 24 hours; we ordered a couple of times and it was okay, though the food’s taste wasn’t anything special. That’s the only thing I’d really call a complaint. CoCo Cafe was a good option for coffee, sandwiches, small bites, and desserts, and it’s open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. The hibachi restaurant was great too, and worth booking through the concierge. This was our first time traveling abroad and staying at an all-inclusive, and we felt welcomed and safe the whole trip. Booking transport to and from the airport through the resort makes the ride smoother. We’d come back someday, though we’d like to compare it with other all-inclusive resorts first.

Cristina, our wedding coordinator, kept every detail on track. She was calm, organized, attentive, and made sure the day came together perfectly, so we never felt stressed. Christopher, our butler, also went above and beyond for us and our guests throughout the stay, anticipating what we needed and helping things run smoothly. Our bartenders, Obispo, Raniel, Rudy, and Winter, were friendly and full of energy all week. Their service helped make things feel fun and welcoming for everyone. We were also very happy with the food and drinks across the resort. Every meal was fresh, flavorful, and nicely presented, and the drinks were consistently well made. We stayed in the Preferred Club and would choose it again. The extra comfort, attentive service, and care with details made the wedding stay feel even more special. Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana was a beautiful setting for our wedding, elegant and very well maintained. The beach was clean and looked stunning every day, just what we’d hoped for in the ceremony and photos. From beginning to end, the experience went beyond what we expected, and we’re grateful to the whole team for making such an important moment in our lives so memorable.
