Batey Hotel Boutique

I booked this for my niece and nephew, and the experience was very bad. The room they found wasn't what the booking app had described, and the owner wanted to charge much more than the stated price. He wouldn't work out the problem and went on to call the police. He used his influence in the area to put wrongful charges on him. He was very mean, and customer service was poor when it came to sorting anything out. Think twice before booking, since the listed room description and the actual rooms are different.

The breakfast is delicious, and the pizzas are perfect. Dinners are unique and really tasty, and they have a nice wine collection too. The bedrooms have everything you need to rest and feel at home. I've stayed here five times now, and this cozy, peaceful place feels like my home away from home. I first came during my summer vacation in 2020 and loved it. Since then I've returned with all three of my daughters, my sister, and my wife. It's a little paradise, just a two-minute walk from beautiful Boca Chica. I can't wait to come back.

The location and service were great, but there were bugs in my room. Maybe it was because it had rained for four or five days straight.

We spent nine wonderful days here. The hotel is a peaceful oasis, with pretty gardens and adorable cats, and we passed many hours relaxing by the pool. It's also just a short walk to the beach and the restaurants and bars beside it. The rooms are basic but comfortable, with great beds. Staff were kind, helpful, and careful with our belongings while cleaning. The AC gave us trouble on the first night, but they moved us to another room right away when we told them. At the restaurant, the staff quickly learned our coffee order. Breakfast is included, with lots of options, including a delicious traditional Dominican breakfast. Boca Chica may not be the country's most popular destination, but this hotel makes me want to return.
