KSL Residence

This was the best place I've had the pleasure of renting. My wife and I recommend it to anyone wanting a really nice place to stay. Apartment 3A was spacious and clean, and the outdoor patio with an eight-person hot tub was fabulous. It really does have hot water if you want it hot. The kitchen utensils were all proper and matched. The staff were amazing, to say the least, and the apartment description undersold it.

The beach was great, and the owner was nice, but I didn’t feel safe there. Someone tried to break into our room on my last night. When I told the property manager, she said the cameras weren’t working and they were trying to fix them. The area felt unsafe, and the cameras still weren’t working.

I liked the apartment setup, the roomy space, full fridge, secure grounds, and those nice big drying towels. The bed was regular sized, though. There were a few problems: my hot water worked only once, even though there’s a switch in the room you’re supposed to turn on first. The door lock failed while I was outside, and maintenance took about 40 minutes to get me in, then about the same to replace it. I also had to call maintenance because the gas stove wouldn’t work. Later, I found roaches on the countertops and inside a cabinet in the kitchen. My friend hadn’t seen any, and I didn’t see them elsewhere, but I’m highly allergic to roaches, so that was a nasty surprise. It was an okay stay. With hot water and no roaches, I’d have given it five stars.

Booking KSL Residence at the last minute saved my stay in the DR after an unexpected problem with another place I’d booked. Kevin was a great host, and the place was way beyond what I expected. Thank you so much, Kevin.
