Hotel La Fuente

Check-in was easy, and the staff were so friendly. They gave me a handy sheet with the Wi-Fi, schedule, keys, and other basics, plus a map of places to see in Constanza. In the morning, I opened my door to a little table set with teacups and a thermos of hot coffee. This is one of the coziest hostels I’ve stayed in. The central area has especially interesting, warm decor, with art and details that show how much the owner and staff care about the atmosphere. My room was tidy and clean, especially the bathroom. I’m not usually on a high budget, but this is the first place in the DR where every amenity worked: reliable Wi-Fi, outlets, hot water and good pressure, adjustable fan, parking, free coffee, towels, a shared hangout space, and a very nice room. 10/5 stars!!! Hope more people find this wonderful spot.

Rooms 13 and 14 were spotless, with bathrooms that looked updated or new, more like what you’d find in a larger hotel in the USA. Guests can use the charming Dominican kitchen and artsy patio, a quaint and romantic combination. The owner is the warmest, most genuine person you could meet, and his artistic spirit is all through the place. It was a wonderful spot to relax, and everything exceeded my expectations.

I paid $RD 800, which felt like a good price. The building is gray, but inside it’s pretty, with playful decorations and cool art. The staff were helpful and friendly, and there’s a private parking lot. My only issue was the shower: the hot water setting barely worked, and when it did work, the water was so hot that I didn’t really shower.

Melvin has decorated the halls and shared areas with art and cultural icons, and the whole space feels fun and stylish. The boutique hotel staff are welcoming and friendly. Even the neighborhood motorcycles add to the authentic feel.
