I came hoping for a quiet nature stay, since Ruisenor Ranch seemed far from the city center. I’d seen a couple of Airbnb reviews warning that neighbors could be loud, but it was Monday, so I thought it would surely be peaceful. Instead, cabins just a few feet in front and behind me were blasting music at each other, each trying to drown out the other group. It’s almost midnight and everyone is still so loud. I usually wouldn’t mind, but I have a very early, non-refundable tour tomorrow. I chose a quiet place to relax in nature, and now I don’t think I’ll sleep. I’m worried I’ll be drained for my one day in Jarabacoa. The owners live in one of the cabins and know what’s going on, but they aren’t stopping it. There aren’t any signs about quiet hours after 10pm, either. If you want a peaceful nature getaway, don’t risk it. Pick somewhere else.

The hosts at the ruiseñor ranch were welcoming and accommodating, and the place was beautiful, clean, and well equipped. It was one of the best places we stayed in RD. We had such a good experience and would gladly come back. Thanks again for everything!

The rooms are cozy, clean, and not very big, and there’s hot water in the tap :D The manager is extremely nice and helpful, and might help organize your stay in the area. For me, this is the greatest place to stay in Jarabacoa.

The mountain views are lovely, with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. It’s quiet, away from traffic and noise, and seems like a good spot for honeymooners. I’m just a nearby neighbor, not a guest anymore.
