Santo Cerro Natural Park

The staff were great, the view was nice, and the food was delicious. Still, we were glad we’d booked just one night. The hotel was rather expensive for our trip through the Dominican Republic, and our room was dirty, with water standing on the floor the whole time and stains on the sheets. The photos online had made it look so good.

A cozy, welcoming place with friendly staff and wonderful service. It was very clean, the food and setup were nice, and the pool was great. We enjoyed the beautiful view and relaxing atmosphere, along with the good food and hospitality.

The views are incredible at any hour, and getting up around 6 a.m. for sunrise with coffee is well worth it. Breakfast was delicious and felt straight from the farm. The owners and staff are so kind, they really made us feel at home. We loved being able to explore the property, including the farm, with its chickens, hens, roosters, rabbits, and other things they grow and raise. I hadn’t realized how big the place was, and loved every minute. We’ll definitely come back to explore more of the area. The pool is cold, but in the heat it felt great, even though I’m not usually a cold-water person. There are a lot of stairs around the property, so it’s not a good fit if stairs are a problem. If you’re up for a walk and a workout, put on your sneakers and wander around.

The staff really cared about helping me have a peaceful stay, and I left so happy. I can’t eat carbs or sugar, and they were glad to cook island vegetables and avocados that grow on the resort’s trees. The coffee was fresh, breakfast was great, and the rooms were clean, with hot water and working AC. The customer service was some of the best I’ve had. It felt like a visit to heaven on earth, and I’ll be back.
