The Wi-Fi was very slow for work, but that was minor compared with what happened on my second night. I woke to someone trying to get into my room, and my screaming startled them away. I later learned the electric fence around the property wasn’t working, and nobody had told me. I’m not from the area and didn’t know how to reach the local authorities, so I called the property manager while still shaken. I expected the owner to call the police, file a report, or take some action. Instead, they were dismissive and showed no urgency, even though the burglar was still at large. I couldn’t bear to stay another second, so I had to arrange transport and somewhere else to stay by myself. Nobody checked on me or offered help. Thankfully, I speak Spanish and could manage on my own. This was one of the scariest and most traumatic experiences of my life. I’m grateful it didn’t end worse, and hope this warns people about how little regard this property showed for safety.

I only stayed one night, and the jacuzzi, air conditioning, and comfortable rooms made it a pleasant one. It’s a comfortable place with friendly people, and fairly close to the beach. A good choice for a few nights.

Noel, who’s in charge, has excellent customer service. The place felt like a peaceful, friendly home away from home, and we loved it. Playa Bonita is just minutes away, with town also not far.

We stayed five days at sergios House and really enjoyed it. The family was lovely, the apartment was nice, and the garden with its jacuzzi was wonderful. We’d recommend it.
