Dreams Flora Resort & Spa

Irwin, our butler, anticipated what we needed and made the stay feel easy and relaxing. For my 30th birthday, he surprised me with beautiful decorations in the room, which made the celebration unforgettable. Alberto, our main bartender, was phenomenal and brought a lot of fun to our trip. Getting here was simple because the resort is so close to the airport. The shuttle was seamless, and we were settled in quickly. From arrival, the staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive. Food was another highlight, with lots to choose from, from casual lunches at the Barefoot Grill to the different dinner restaurants. It was almost hard to decide where to eat each night.

Finding the restaurants could be easier, especially for older guests who aren’t comfortable with apps or digital maps. Better signs or clearer markings for the dining areas would help. Otherwise, we had a wonderful time at Dreams Flora Punta Cana. The grounds were lovely and well cared for, and the staff were spectacular, helpful, and accommodating throughout. We especially liked the food and nightly entertainment. It was a positive, relaxing experience from start to finish, and I’ll definitely return.

Oliver Dominguez, our concierge, was outstanding. He took such good care of my family and our needs, and we’re grateful. The resort itself is beautiful and the service from staff was amazing. The Preferred upgrade felt like a rip-off. We noticed no real difference from regular service, and one day my family was the only one singled out and asked if we were “Preferred” when entering that area. Wristbands like other resorts use would help keep people out of the Preferred spaces if they don’t belong there. The liquor was exactly the same as in the regular sections, so until the selection improves and wristbands are used, it’s a waste of money. The only place with top shelf liquor was the Preferred lounge check-in. Some swim-out rooms lacked proper steps into the water. Bird droppings kept getting on the cabana, especially under the trees, and made it feel unsafe to lie on. The food options were a big disappointment overall, though Himitsu was the standout meal.

Jose, our butler, checked in constantly to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and that our rooms were comfortable and looked after. His kindness and attention to detail really mattered. At the Preferred Club swim-up bar, Jose and Rauly were welcoming and friendly, kept our drinks coming, and brought a fun, positive energy each day. Morphy handled towel service brilliantly too, always helpful and on top of things with a smile. The staff really do go out of their way to make guests feel special and relaxed. We had a memorable stay and can’t wait to return next year.
