José, the General Manager, deserves thanks for the quality of the whole team. Jaikol, Francisco, and Pablo at reception were consistently welcoming and helpful, and Stacie's natural kindness added a personal touch. The waiters were friendly and professional, and the food was excellent. Our room was spacious and beautifully designed, with modern style and real comfort. Hotel Faranda Single 1 is close to the city center but still calm and comfortable. I'd happily return.

I really loved the service here. Everyone made the stay feel even better, and I felt safe throughout. Security was always around, checked who came in by taxi, and quickly learned who I was. They'd ask how my day was, and when I asked them back, they'd say, “biennn, gracias a Dios”. In general, Punta Cana felt safe to me. When I checked out, I mentioned to the man, I think his name was Jose, that Madrid was my next stop. He'd lived there for eight years and wrote a whole list of places for my mom and me to visit. I really appreciated that. After checking out, I had time for lunch and asked about pasta because I'm allergic to nuts. The pasta had a nut ingredient, but one of the chefs offered a nice alternative and went to the kitchen herself to make sure it was prepared just right. It was delicious! My apartment-like room was spotless, with a big kitchen, lovely interior design, and nice lighting. I arrived late in the evening, and two men helped me; Pablo, a very kind man, showed me to the room. At breakfast, Ada was always there with a friendly smile. The staff served everyone kindly in Spanish and English. Another woman helped me too and was lots of fun, and the bartender and other waiter were incredible. Cleaners came every day, knocked before entering, and brought water. They always greeted me with a smile and “Buen diaaa”. The whole experience felt serene, luxurious, friendly, and amazing.

We chose this hotel because we wanted to explore on our own instead of staying at an all-inclusive, and its walkable location is the best thing about it. For the price and location, it was worth it. It looked newer online than it does in person, but it's still good, even if it isn't brand new. The main problem during our five days was the WiFi, which was unreliable and troublesome the whole time. It could be an issue if you need to work here. Staff and security guards seemed friendly, with the guards especially helpful. The restaurant and bar menus were limited, but worked for quick breakfasts and late-night dinners.

Avoid this hotel. I arrived with a confirmed, prepaid reservation and was told they had no room. The staff were rude and offered no real help, telling me to find another hotel myself. The alternative they suggested was a terrible one-star place. The hotel looked nothing like its photos. Expedia and Amex were the only ones who saved my trip. The hotel showed total mismanagement and no accountability.
