There was loud music and noise all night, and I didn’t sleep at all. This is no place to get some rest. I was there with little kids, and we won’t be back.

The hotel, rooms, and service were good, but the casino has been closed for over 2 years. There are nightclubs on both sides, and the music kept me up until 6 am. If you’re looking to party, it’s your kind of place. If you want to sleep, it isn’t.

The rooms were clean, breakfast had a good range of food, and the staff were kind and friendly. It’s close to several tourist spots. The casino is being reconstructed, but I wasn’t interested in using it anyway.

The staff were very friendly and the place was tidy. It’s about 5 minutes from the monuments of heros. Breakfast wasn’t the best, though the tasty scrambled eggs with cassava or plantains, pickled red onions, and coffee made for a nice meal. They don’t serve lunch. Nearby, there’s an outstanding Chinese restaurant with favorite dishes, no regrets.

I booked 2 days but stayed only 1 night. The reason I’m giving 5 stars is that the refund for the second night came back to my credit card. I’m Canadian and North American, and they do business properly. Trust Hotel Matum. The room was decent, and it’s right in the heart of Santiago.
