Mangos fall from the tree into the pool, and the price was good too. Peter gave me lots of good recommendations. I stayed three nights, and the private rooms have air conditioning. I’d stay here again.

This is a lovely place to unwind after exploring Santo Domingo. It’s beautiful and well located, and while it isn’t a party hostel, it’s easy to socialize here. If you’re over 30 and want to relax and enjoy yourself, it could be just right. Francesca was a blessing and helped me so much. Come with an open mind and heart. I met my boyfriend here, when we were both traveling solo, and now we travel together. It’s one of the best hostel experiences I’ve had across North and Central America and the Caribbean.

We kept adding nights because we were enjoying the place so much: one night at first, then a second at the last minute, then after two days away, a third night when we came back. The owners, Francesca and Peter, are sweet and laid back. Rooms are comfortable, and the fantastic shared area has an open-air kitchen and a little pool in the courtyard. Fresh mangoes fell from the tree, and we picked them up for breakfast. Great location in the Zona Colonial. Thanks, Francesca and Peter!

The pool in the backyard is a nice place to swim or sit and read quietly. The decor brings together wood, recycled furniture, and Zemis, ancestral and divine spirits watching over us. It feels like a warm hug in the Zona Colonial (ZC), and a lovely reminder of our indigenous roots alongside modern life, showing that nature and technology can balance and that we can live comfortably while respecting our surroundings. Fran is awesome, one of the heads of this hostel. Her excellent customer service and kindness reminded me there are still good-hearted people in the world, and I’m so grateful. For me, this is the best hostel in the ZC. Others may be luxurious, but I haven’t found this same love and care elsewhere there. TOTALLY RECOMMEND!
