The hotel is in a beautiful spot, close to downtown Algiers, and the customer service was good. But when I turned back the blanket, I found a green mark of human or animal poop on top of the sheets. I suspect the cleaning staff covered it with the bedspread instead of changing the sheets. They need to check their work and clean the bathroom and linens thoroughly.

My room had a fantastic view, and I felt safe there. It's a cozy place, especially good for women, and the staff are friendly and respectful. The shower still needs some maintenance, particularly the lighting, but overall I had a great experience.

For the price, it's great value. The rooms and bathroom were super clean, as were the towels, and there was hot water with good pressure around the clock. Breakfast was good too. The one downside was the poor sound insulation. You could hear everything in the next room.

It's easy to walk to the center from here. We did find the hotel a bit expensive compared with the facilities it offers. My husband, his friend, and I chose it for our visit to Alger. It can be hard to find, since there's another hotel with the same name.
