Chaker Hotel

For tourists especially, this is a great place to stay. The location is hard to beat, right in the city centre. Just my opinion after staying there, not a paid ad.

The rooms are modern, very clean and well equipped, with a TV, electric kettle and a great shower. They're small, though, and the separate beds are comfortable but may feel too narrow for a larger person. Opening the window just gives you a view of the neighbors' windows, and ventilation isn't well planned. Soundproofing is poor too, with plenty of kitchen noise coming up from the first floor. The hotel is well located in batna, and the staff are kind, though they have high self esteem. Restaurant food was tasty and fairly priced, but nothing special. Breakfast had enough variety, but the cookies, cakes and croissants felt like dry leftovers from the day before and weren't edible. The lobby was very cold while the rooms were too hot, and I couldn't adjust the temperature myself. At first they told me to open a window and use the ventilation, saying it would cool down at night, but they didn't call a technician. When it became unbearable and I went back to reception, I was asked, "Would you accept being called at night from your home to fix the heating unit in your room?" They said it had been intentionally loosened so guests wouldn't tamper with it. I was disappointed by that response, but they then offered me a SUITE at no charge.

The service was unbelievably slow and absolutely horrible. I saw people leave as soon as they arrived because of how long it took. If I could, I'd rate them lower.

I spent three days in the sinior suite at chaker hotel. The room was clean, comfortable and in good condition, which I appreciated. Service from the manager and reception could definitely improve, though. A warmer welcome and better customer service would make a big difference. I hope things get better.
