The rooms were spotless, housekeeping was excellent, and I really enjoyed the food. The waiters were polite, attentive, and always smiling. From the reception staff to the hotel bus driver, everyone was kind and helpful. Assala Hotel has a cozy, welcoming feel, a lovely view, and a city center location. It also felt safe and relaxing for families. I’d definitely recommend it.

We return to Assala whenever we visit from the USA. The hotel is very clean, the staff are pleasant and helpful, and the mattress and pillows are soft and comfortable. Breakfast is great, with plenty of options and tasty pastries. Some people at the front desk speak English. We had a booking mix-up, but they went out of their way to fix it and make the stay enjoyable. There’s a shuttle to the Airport and train station, plus parking for guests with cars. The sea side promenade is a couple of blocks one way, and the market is a couple of blocks in the other direction.

The people made this place for me. Staff were very welcoming and went out of their way to help, especially receptionist Fissel. During Ramadan they even made breakfast for me, a non-Muslim, well after pre-dawn meal time, and the evening fast-breaking meal was delicious. The rooms are good and the location is okay, though a little noisy. It’s a somewhat above mid-range Algerian hotel, probably the best town option besides the expensive international chains on the Corniche. I’d recommend it mainly for the staff’s professionalism and hospitality.
