The room could use a menu. We spent ages looking online, on the TV, and around the room, but couldn't find one to order from. The TV's hospitality setup was still full of placeholders, YouTube wasn't available, and the hotel's custom software blocked Chromecast. Local channels worked, but that wasn't useful to someone who doesn't speak Arabic, even with a smart TV. The phone buttons didn't match what they were supposed to do, either. I kept trying to call room service with no answer, then found out the hotel rebranding had changed the number and I needed to dial the new one. The fridge had assorted glass drinks but no opener, so I don't know how we were meant to open them. They could stock plastic bottles or leave an opener in the fridge. There were plenty of good things too. Everything was very clean, breakfast was delicious, and the dinner buffet was great. The indoor pool was spotless, warm, and spacious, and the staff seemed well trained. The hair salon was reasonably priced, and the women working there were experienced. We also liked the atmosphere at the first floor bar, and the waiter was very helpful about explaining the cocktails. It's a really nice hotel and probably the best winter hotel in Oran, but it needs a bit of work to feel worth the price.

Renovations were still going on during my stay, though they seemed nearly finished. What made the stay special was Fatima at the front desk. She went well beyond what was needed to make things smooth and enjoyable. She was professional, kind, and attentive. Thanks so much, Fatima.

From the reception onward, the staff made us feel welcome, including everyone at the restaurant. The room was neat, very clean, and had a Cafe machine. You can see both the town and the sea from the view. This is an amazing hotel, highly recommended.

The bartenders seemed to run around without getting anything done, and we had to call them over twice before we could order. Ordering was a bad experience. Be careful with the bar prices: they don't show you a menu or price list, then bring a huge bill for something that could cost less even in New York or las Vegas. It felt really unprofessional, the worst experience I've had.

The music was so loud I could still hear it in my room. I also had trouble reaching room service and the front desk because the phone line in room 508 was unavailable. I went two days without soap before I brought it up at the front desk. There was no iron in the room either.
