Golden Tulip Adef Oran

The evening food was limited to salad or omelette, fish or chicken, and fruit, but it was edible. The trouble was finding the leftover salads on the breakfast buffet the next morning. Breakfast itself was horrible, with rolls defrosted in a microwave. Workers seemed to be the main guests, rather than tourists or business travelers, and the staff were rather brusque. I uploaded photos twice, but for some reason they don't show. At first glance the reception and rooms look fine, but a closer look showed dirt everywhere. The rooftop bar was filthy, with dead pigeons lying around, and the hotel seems poorly managed. The place is in bad shape and dirty. Bathroom glass doors and toilets screeched against the stone floors; windows were smeared with sticky children's fingerprints and cookie remains. There were odd marks in the bathtub and on the linen, missing bulbs or no bedside lamp, and even no toilet paper. It took 30 minutes and a lot of arguing to get some, so we ended up taking it from the public toilet. Trays of leftover food sat in the hallways until the next day. Smoking was allowed in the rooms, which explained the smell. It may have had better days, but those are definitely over. If you can avoid this hotel, you should. I'd rather die than go there again.
