The one thing I loved was being right by the beach, with a spectacular view. I was also grateful for the receptionist, who was kind and did a great job helping us, even though she was coughing over the desk and room keys. The room in the smaller building near the sea was in awful shape. The sheets had old makeup stains, the comforter had blood on it, and the beds were uncomfortable. There were handprints and stains on the walls, peeling ceiling paint, mold in the air vent, a missing dresser door, and missing pieces of the green faux-marble wall covering. Power outlets hung loose with wires exposed. The bathroom was just as bad. The tub was dirty and moldy, and the toilet kept leaking and running, leaving water pooled on the floor the whole time. For some reason, the drain had been cemented over. I felt like I needed another shower after using it. I'm so glad we only had to stay one night.

The outdoor pool and beach were great, and the view was lovely. Staff interactions were okay, and at least the covered pool water was clean. But the smell from the toilets behind it was so awful that I couldn't stay there longer than an hour. The so-called gym was five broken machines tucked behind the pool, right by those toilets. For the price, the rooms were below average. My weekend there meant breathing in a horrible mix of cigarette smoke and detergent. The floor was soaking wet when I walked in, and I nearly slipped. The bathroom was a mess with terrible hygiene. Hair covered the pillowcases, and the blankets didn't look any better. The food wasn't worth the money either. There were lots of salads, but hardly any protein. Two meatballs for dinner? That doesn't feel like a buffet. Breakfast was made with very low-quality products. I was glad to get eggs, but the juice was so bad I couldn't finish it. I hope the staff will take better care of this place, because it feels like a wasted gem. I overheard a man telling the receptionist he wasn't satisfied at all, and that should've been my sign to leave. Don't get scammed.

The beach view was the one good thing. We could walk down to the beach, though we had to look for the nearest one with a safety flag. I came with my family after a great solo trip to Skikda, and I really regret bringing them to "Tichy". The place felt old, dead, quiet, and broken, more like a one-star motel than a hotel. There seemed to be about five workers, and they didn't come across as professional. We paid for a suite that was nowhere near worth the price. The worst part was how dirty everything was. Our bathroom was unhygienic, dimly lit, and had no towels or toilet paper. The toilet had urine in it when I first checked, and the shower looked so gross that I took my family to public showers instead. The vanity was peeling and rusty. Some rooms apparently had no mirror, and there was no hair dryer. The beds looked too basic for what I paid, the floor was dusty, the TV remote had bitten batteries, and the sofa looked like a squirrel had chewed it up. The advertised spa and jacuzzi were a complete mess. It felt haunted, with nobody around or even noticing me looking through the place. Beds were scattered around, the floor looked like it hadn't been mopped in ages, and the one jacuzzi I found had cold water. The indoor pool was okay, but its water felt warm for a hot summer day, so it wasn't refreshing. The chairs were dirty, and there were food crumbs and gunk all over the floor. The pool bathrooms were filthy, and the gym didn't work. Food was another disappointment. The breakfast was the same every day: rotten croissants, smelly milk, eggs that weren't peeled, nearly expired canned yogurt, and butter and jam served only rarely. Dinner was a chaotic line for microwaved food that felt like a school cafeteria, with the same menu every day. The meat smelled bad, and all I could eat was salad and fries with no crunch, like they'd been microwaved too. Even though I paid for the buffet, I still had to pay for drinks. The outdoor pool looked dirty too, and they had to clean it in the morning because trees had been planted nearby. It was so noisy I couldn't nap, and the Wi-Fi was terrible. Staff seemed somewhat rude, though they started apologizing when money came up. At night, we couldn't sleep until around 01:30 because of loud, repetitive music. They played the same playlist at every dinner, and later we could hear the park next to the "hotel" blasting music. The elevators malfunctioned, took ages to open, and made a loud, uncomfortable sound going up. I felt bad for my family. This was the worst "vacation" ever, and I should've looked for somewhere better. Please don't waste your money here.

The beach view was breathtaking, and the staff were impressively professional. Check-in was smooth, and the rooms had a welcoming feel. Syphax Hotel made this month's stay memorable and delightful. A heartfelt thank you to Syphax, I'd happily recommend it. 🌟

The food was excellent, and I really loved the buffets. The beach and pool were okay, passable at best. But the rooms were cramped and dirty, with no fridge or decent shower. The beds were uncomfortable, the sheets disgusting, and the floor smelled of bleach. The male receptionists were awful. They refused to serve me three times because I spoke Algerian, saying, "Je ne te comprends pas. Dites-le encore." They came across as racist and completely out of line. Probably one of the worst places to stay if you're not from the region. Terrible people.
