Hotel Esperanza Marina

We were able to check in early at 8:00 am, thanks to the friendly hosts who helped us out. The pool is large, though the property overall could use more maintenance. It’s about a five-minute walk from the bars and restaurants along Atacames beach, so it works well if you want to relax away from the noise.

The view is spectacular, and we were welcomed with a lot of kindness. Having a restaurant there is a major plus. I do think the rooms need some attention, and they should do more to keep insects like ants and mosquitoes away.

There’s no air conditioning, and the mattresses are just foam laid on a concrete slab. The cleanliness of both the rooms and bathrooms is highly questionable. The price doesn’t match the service.

I found the room comfortable, but the TV was no use without a remote, and the room hadn’t been cleaned. For the quality, the hotel costs too much. They need to improve a lot or lower the price.
