La Posada del Arte

We were traveling with an 8-year-old and parents in their 90s, so we needed a place that worked for everyone. La Posada del Arte exceeded our expectations during our three nights in mid-August. Carl, his wife, and the staff welcomed us warmly and helped us settle in. When one of our elderly parents had mobility concerns, they quickly accommodated our request to switch rooms. That made the stay much more comfortable and stress-free. We booked about a month ahead and drove from Quito. There was plenty of street parking right outside at all times. The hotel is an easy walk from restaurants, cafes, and local shops, while still feeling peaceful and tucked away from the busier parts of town. The rooms and grounds were exceptionally clean and well kept. We especially liked the second-floor rooms, with their spectacular view of a nearby waterfall, beautifully lit at night. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, and the showers had strong water pressure, which we'd been missing at other places in Ecuador. Breakfast each morning was a highlight, with several tasty a la carte options. Everything was fresh, hearty, and filling, a great start to a day exploring. It was our first visit to Baños, and staying at La Posada del Arte made it more memorable. It offered comfort, convenience, and warm hospitality for our whole family. We'd gladly stay again and recommend it to others.

This was my favorite of the 10 places I stayed in Ecuador. The breakfasts were great, and I loved the peaceful feel and waterfall view. You can walk to everything in town, but the place is set back from the main street, so it's quiet.

The hotel was clean, felt homey, and had everything we needed. It also looks out over the virgin waterfall. Priscilla and Karl were wonderful hosts, and the staff were amazing. They went out of their way to accommodate us and make the stay special. I can't say enough good things about the place.

We had a really nice stay. The food was fantastic, and the rooms were comfortable. The friendly staff were happy to accommodate us. It's close to everything, but away from the commotion.
