Hostería Mi Compadre

My friend, Hosteria is a must for a family outing. The location is excellent, the amenities are just right, and the food is good. I’d especially recommend their lunches.

A nice place surrounded by nature. If you want to get away from the city, it has very good food, a pool, two jacuzzis, and a Turkish bath.

I found it hard to sleep at night because the dogs bark constantly. My double room had a comfortable bed, but the jacuzzi took ages to turn on, and the hot water sensor sometimes failed and gave me cold water. The shower was frustrating too, it would switch itself to cold as soon as I set it to hot. The inn really needs to improve things, and I can't recommend it as it is. Getting in is a hassle because the driveway is so narrow. You have to wait for the hostel staff to move their vehicle out before you can drive in. There are cameras but no guards, and they really need guards for any reason. The pool is outside and unheated. When I stayed, it was dirty, hadn't been cleaned, and had mosquitoes and trash in it. The natural grass soccer field, not artificial turf, had dog waste on it, plus a couple of rocks that you could easily hit while kicking the ball. The volleyball court was dirty as well. The ping-pong table had no net and was dusty. Breakfast was very basic, nothing special, and the lunches weren't good value for money.
