Hotel Stubel Suites and Cafe

The views were beautiful, and both the hotel and rooms were completely clean. I spent a week here and had a great stay, with wonderful food and excellent prices. Johanna, Victor and Jorge provided excellent service. Mrs Janet is the person to contact for a tour, she is serious, professional and responsible. I recommend this place 100%. I'll definitely be back soon.

The restaurant is surrounded by glass, so you get beautiful views of the mountains and valley. Breakfast is included with most rooms and was outstanding. At Cafe Stubel, the plates come with colorful fruit purees, fresh fruit, and edible flowers and herbs. The menu has some interesting fusion dishes built around local favorites, and the waiters are friendly and helpful. I've even seen them assisting guests with luggage or questions between meals. Hotel Stubel is my favorite stop in Quito and easily the best value for my money. It's a beautiful, clean, non-smoking hotel, and the rooms don't have that usual musty smell. I haven't had any allergy symptoms here. Many rooms have private balconies with lovely valley views. Security is good, with a 24 HR front desk, and several staff members speak English. They're attentive and friendly, and the front desk helps me find services and quickly arranges taxis right at the door. The best guided tours I took were organized through the front desk, not bought online. Rooms have bottled water, safes, ironing boards, and lots of other amenities. The in-room internet is fast enough to stream shows easily, and there's also a spa and gym.

The restaurant has a very good menu and the ingredients are notably good. Breakfast is varied and included in the room rate, and the view from the restaurant and some rooms is awesome. The hotel is small, with rooms that aren't new but are kept very neat. Staff are nice and professional. My only small gripe is that the TVs in the rooms seem too small by today's standards.

We got help whenever we needed it, especially since we don't speak the local language. The front desk staff were really helpful, and the room had enough space for my wife and me. It was a lovely, quaint place for a vacation, with a nice room and great food. The cafe served good food and great coffee. Breakfast each morning had enough variety to suit different tastes. We had a wonderful experience and would recommend staying here if you visit Quito. You won't be disappointed.
