The young woman at the front desk was very nice, and the business problems aren't her fault. But the place isn't kid friendly, and getting there is difficult. The road is very steep and narrow, and you need a 4x4 or Manuel car to go up and down to reach the city. The video they provide seems a bit misleading. The staff are friendly, but the people in charge don't keep to their word on prices. They quote one amount, then change it and say you heard wrong. Taxis they offer are supposed to cost $1.5 by day and $2 at night, but the fare changes when it's time to ride. The big pool is very cold, and the small one is meant to be warm but wasn't, and was a bit dirty.

The pools are nice when the weather's warm, and there's plenty of parking. Breakfast was good too. The shower wasn't very warm, though, and the road to the center is really steep and narrow.

The pool was a really relaxing part of the stay, and breakfast was spot on. Our rooms were clean and the service was very good. The staff were kind and helpful, even taking care of our bags and carrying them up or down the hill for us.

I arrived after booking more than a week earlier, only to find out there were no rooms available. They could easily have emailed to say they were fully booked and apologize. That lack of respect isn't good enough.

The river and cliffs were beautiful, and the pool was nice. There was even a soccer field, which I hadn't expected. Playita Salomom was just right for my family: a short taxi ride from downtown Banos and away from the city noise. The rooms were clean, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. I'd recommend it to anyone.
