Hotel Galapagos Tortuga Bay

We changed hotels despite losing a lot of money because we’d booked in advance. The photos don’t show the Hotel’s current condition, so be careful. It’s far from town and, though a taxi takes about 5-10 minutes, it felt like we were stuck there. We expected a decent, not luxurious, holiday in Galapagos, but this was the worst Hotel stay of my life compared with what we expected. The people were kind, as people are across the island. The Hotel itself was old and poorly maintained, at most two stars in my view. Our room had a broken window that wouldn’t close, and the light switch cards were deactivated, old, and hanging loose by the entrance. There were no hangers in the wardrobe and no safe. I also found hair in the shower, and the view from one room was of abandoned construction tools and a dirty area beside the pool. The pool was dirty, the jacuzzi was broken and left abandoned, and the pool table had broken balls. The restaurant was old and noisy, and the food was extremely cheap, just white rice, fried shrimps, and a few grams of salad.

The quiet, safe setting made the whole visit feel easy, and the customer service really made me feel at home. My room was spacious and super clean. The food was excellent too, the chef gets 5 starts from me. I’d recommend tortuga bay to anyone who wants to enjoy themselves without worries.

We had a great time even though the hotel was a bit away from the main town. The rooms were clean, the food tasted delicious, and the staff were always there to help. Everything else felt perfect. Muchas gracias ❤️

We were a large group, and everyone enjoyed staying here. The staff were very accommodating, and the rooms were spacious and clean. It’s a beautiful place.
