Hostal Insular

Flávio is a star ⭐. This is a good budget hotel, with clean rooms and a well-equipped kitchen. It's also an easy walk to the beach.

The staff were nice, but I wouldn't choose this place again. Our room and bathroom were both small, the double bed was small too, and the water was only just warm. The basin and mirror were oddly low. There was a water dispenser while reception was open, so remember to fill up well before bed if you're leaving early. We didn't use the upstairs kitchen because it wasn't very clean. We did use the fridge, but it was very old and dirty, and at one point its door handle was live with electricity.

Flavio was a great host and made booking tours and activities easy. We just had to text him, and he arranged everything at good prices. The hotel was clean and had a kitchen for cooking, though the refrigerator didn't work. It was a good stay for the price.

For the price, it's a great place to stay. The host was really nice, offered good island recommendations, and could book trips for us directly. The rooms were clean and had what we needed, no more and no less. There was laundry service, free drinking water, and a shared kitchen and public area. The kitchen could use a few more things, though, as some equipment was missing.
