I stayed at Las Gardenias Hostal on Isabela, in the Galapagos Islands, on Dec 31, 2025, after arriving the night before. The owner was kind, positive, open minded, and super friendly. Her welcoming daughter made me a personalized breakfast exactly the way I asked, and it was even more delicious than I expected, with fresh Galapagos coffee. I forgot her name. I recommend this amazing place to anyone travelling to Isabela and would definitely go back soon with colleagues and friends. Tourism will improve with people like the owner and her daughter. Awesome! Happy holidays and happy new year. Good luck.

The Wi-Fi is strong in the common areas, where there are tables if you need to get some work done, though it doesn't quite reach the rooms. Breakfast was tasty, with coffee, juice, fruit, bread and jam, cheese, and eggs. The rooms were very clean, with nice beds and good air conditioning. The woman at the front desk was so kind and made us feel welcome. Hostal las Gardenias is right in the heart of town, two blocks from the beach and a 15-minute walk or quick taxi ride from the ferry dock. We had a lovely stay and would absolutely come back!

We enjoyed chatting with Gardenias and getting to know her. The owner was kind, friendly, and funny, and the rooms were cleaned daily. There's a nice courtyard seating area with hammocks, and the location and rooms were great. A great place to stay!

The host family was lovely, and the rooms were clean. There's a shared kitchen, and they arranged our island trips for us. 5/5, I recommend it.

The staff were very helpful, and it was great having access to the kitchen so we could cook our own meals. The rooms were very clean and the beds comfortable.
