New Galapagos Hostelling

Vicky is well connected around Galapagos and helped us find contacts for tours on Isabela, as well as arrange ferry tickets and our airport taxi. We felt really well supported, and the whole team was great. Vicky and her partner made our stay worthwhile. The room was clean and modern, and we felt safe. After two nights we went to Isabela, then decided to return to Hostelling when we came back to Santa Cruz a few days later. The price was fair. Breakfast was basic but freshly prepared by Paulina at a time that suited our schedule. We weren’t always lucky with the hot water, or it sometimes took a long time to warm up, but we were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend it. Thanks to everyone!

The tour itself was beautiful, but booking through Viki was a bad experience. We were charged too much and sent a different boat from the one promised, even though I showed the guide the day before and asked if that was the boat. Afterward they blocked me on Whatsapp and refused to refund anything.

The owner, who works as a tour guide, was a huge help with island information and arranging contacts for tours and taxis. We found this place without a reservation and got a great rate. Although it’s called a hostel, it has five private rooms of different sizes, and ours was recently remodeled, spacious, and very clean. The location is hard to beat: the pier for water taxis is five minutes away, the Darwin Center is walkable, and you can cross the street to the wharf to watch fishermen bring in the day's catch, with sea lions and marine iguanas nearby. Pretty much anything in town is just steps away. The service was outstanding, and I’d highly recommend it. I also posted this review on trip advisor.
