I booked through BDC because the hotel’s listed policy said no prepayment was needed. Right after I reserved, they contacted me demanding payment in advance and said they’d cancel if I didn’t pay. I told them that was like advertising a rental car with unlimited mileage, then limiting it to 100 km a day after you book. I refused to pay. When I went to the location they had sent on the day I was due to arrive, the hotel wasn’t there. I asked BDC for another pin, but they took about five hours to reply. I eventually found the hotel myself. Before I could even get out of my vehicle, a group of drunk people outside came over asking for money and offering to clean my windshield. I felt completely unsafe. After all the other BS, we got back in the truck and went somewhere else. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

The location is great, but that loud bar across the street made it impossible to sleep. The rooms need soundproof windows.

You could hardly ask for more for a stay in Cuenca. Maybe an elevator would help, but if you don’t have knee trouble or anything similar, you’ll have a great time here.

Everything else was really nice, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The only issue was the bed: when I lay down, I noticed a slight body odor. I’m not sure whether it came from the sheets or pillows.
