Sole and her family were wonderful hosts, always welcoming and happy to share helpful recommendations around Cuenca. The house sits on a quiet street just beyond the main tourist area, about a 10-15 minute walk from most museums and sights in the historic center. I felt at home from the moment I arrived. My room was cozy, the bed comfortable, and the modern bathroom had a shower with strong pressure and hot water. Breakfast was delicious, with local food and fresh produce. If I get back to Cuenca, I’ll book again at Casatodosantos.

The house is easy to reach and centrally located, but just off the main road, so it stays quiet. You might hear the occasional plane overhead, though Cuenca airport is right in the city, so I doubt many people can avoid that noise. My room was spacious, peaceful, and had a large smart TV and a big ensuite. Breakfast became my favorite meal in Cuenca. Sole cooked something different and local each morning, with fresh-squeezed juice. Sole and her family were kind, welcoming, and full of useful information. I landed on my feet with this stay. I only wish I’d stayed longer. Thanks, Sole, for a great time in your city.

The garden around the tastefully designed room was beautiful and peaceful, and the neighborhood felt calm and safe. Sole was incredibly welcoming and helped us with things beyond her usual role, including mailing a parcel. The historic center is about 10 minutes away on foot along the riverside promenade, and Pumapungo museum is just around the corner. If you’re driving, there’s safe parking outside and inside the gate. It’s also a short drive to Cajas national park, Ingapirca, and smaller villages with lunch spots and arts and crafts shops.

The hosts were super friendly, and the place was comfortable. It’s close to centro but away from the city noise.
