The restaurant staff were amazing, but the hotel itself had no charm and sits beside a busy, noisy highway. It felt more like a motel. At checkout, the reception staff seemed very confused and couldn't prepare the final bill, so I was asked to pay an amount that seemed to come out of nowhere.
Shopping is easy with a large mall and convention center right next door. The rooftop pool is lovely, the gym is well equipped, and both dinner and breakfast at the restaurant were excellent. Our room was immaculate, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. A great choice for staying in Cuenca.
Christmas dinner was fantastic, with all the fixings, and we got to share it with our new Cuencano family.

For the two weeks I was there, the gym, pool, and all the other fun facilities were closed at the same time for cleaning. I only found out from a brief note in the confirmation email. They charged the same as they did in other weeks, and I would have appreciated it if they had closed one facility at a time instead.
