The price didn’t match what we got, so I’m giving it 3 stars. I booked because parking was included, and they confirmed there was parking when I arrived. Only after I’d parked the car did they tell me there was a $5 charge. The place itself is lovely, but I have doubts about the owners.

Right in the heart of the city, the hostal is close to food, bars, and museums. The colonial-style house is characteristic of central Cuenca, and it was always clean and tidy. The owner lived in the States for many years and speaks fluent English. I really recommend it.

The owners are friendly, and the rooms are moderately comfortable. Breakfast gets difficult when lots of people are there: you have to wait for one group to finish before you can sit down with your family.

Comfortable place, good price. A good option.

My room was very clean and comfortable, and the value for money was hard to beat. The owner and Karen were friendly, with Karen especially attentive. They kept my luggage until 8:00 pm before my flight, and even let me rest in reception with complimentary tea. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Cuenca.
