Hotel Patrimonio

The room was very clean, and the staff were incredibly accommodating. Whenever we needed something, we had it within minutes of asking. I can’t say enough good things about the service. Highly recommended.

The service was really nice, and I was glad to find somewhere open with a room available. The free breakfast, though, wasn't very good.

At checkout, they demanded extra money, claiming the mattress was dirty. When I refused to cancel, the person they called the “manager” threatened to call the police. They followed and harassed us, even going after our cars. Locals told us this was something they did to scam guests. The rooms smelled damp and had cockroach droppings. Sheets were worn and yellowed, and everything felt very old. Even the elevator looked ready to collapse. Breakfast was extremely limited; they couldn't even provide butter, and it seemed like everything was being kept in storage. There were hardly any staff, and they weren't friendly. They claim to offer parking, but it's five blocks away somewhere we felt put our vehicle at risk, so we had to pay for parking elsewhere. The price isn't low for such terrible service. This was the worst experience I've ever had in a city as beautiful as Cuenca.
