Mansión Alcázar Boutique Hotel

The breakfast was outstanding, and the kitchen menu was impressive too. Our rooms were comfortable and quiet, just right for resting after walking around the city. The staff were exceptional, friendly and attentive, with thoughtful local recommendations that really added to our visit. We stayed two nights at Mansión Alcázar Boutique Hotel, my wife and I in one room and her sister and husband in another. From start to finish, the experience was excellent. The hotel is in the historic center of Cuenca, an easy walk from several churches, the Cathedral, Parque Calderón and Calle Larga. It's a beautifully restored 19th-century heritage building, perhaps with even older origins, and the care taken with its architecture and historic details gives the place a warm, elegant feel. Mansión Alcázar brings together history, location, comfort and outstanding service. Highly recommended for anyone after an authentic boutique hotel experience in Cuenca.

The rooms were great, and the food was above average. Fernanda at the front desk was excellent. I was surprised by how stunning the hotel was. The fan they gave us wasn't great, but otherwise it's a great hotel.

The breakfasts in the morning have been spectacular, and I love the heating pads they bring you. It's nice staying in a smaller, rustic hotel. Set in an old historic building, the hotel is absolutely beautiful and in a great central spot in Cuenca. The staff were a highlight, always on top of everything and so helpful. I've never met people this great. The downside is that at night you can hear everything when someone walks or talks.

The staff are top notch, and the location is perfect. It's a beautifully restored property with a European feel and a lovely garden. Our first room felt cramped for two, but luckily we were able to switch to another beautiful room.
