The morning was no better: cleaning staff talked loudly in the hall and used walkie-talkies at 7:30am, waking us up. The night before, my father had gone to the desk about the noise in his room, and Cami, the same receptionist, tried to charge him to move, even though the hotel hadn’t honored what it promised us at check-in. I had asked Cami in Spanish for two quiet rooms because my father and I are both sensitive sleepers. She said we’d be on the back side of the building, but only one room was quiet. My father’s faced the street, with constant noise and loud music until 2:00am. This was a failure of communication, accountability, and basic consideration. If a quiet room is promised for a specific reason, the hotel should follow through instead of making the guest bear the cost afterward. I’ve stayed at Ibis hotels around the world, and this was easily the worst one for me, and among my worst hotel stays overall. It fell far below what I expect from the IBIS brand, and I’d strongly caution anyone who values reliable service.

The hotel is well situated, with small but very comfortable rooms. I personally like this breakfast buffet more than the one at Ibis Guayaquil. The restaurant, though, is terrible. Even simple orders take 40+ minutes, so I can’t recommend it.

The room was great, from the sheets and pillows to the fresh, soft towels, and the shower helped melt away my stress. Breakfast left me speechless, the bar was fantastic, and the soothing lobby music brought back high school memories. Check-in went smoothly, and the security guard was incredibly friendly, a lovely first impression. I loved the whole stay and am already planning to return in a few days. Big thanks to the front desk team and Ms. Ruby, who helped with my reservations. She was fabulous!

We stayed three nights at Ibis Quito and were happy with the choice. There are several great restaurants nearby, and getting an Uber back was easy when we were worn out from walking around town. The hotel is well located without being too close to the busy city center.

A surprisingly good Ibis, with very clean rooms, comfortable beds, glass water bottles, and a great breakfast. The staff were outstanding too. It’s in Republica del Salvador, a great neighborhood for safety, activities, restaurants, and parks.
